Frequently Ask Questions:
- What is the Main Focus of the ETS Training Program?
ETS is designed to focus mainly on Intensive Discipleship and Leadership Training for students. Each student will gain a deep understanding of what it meant to be a “Disciple” of Jesus Christ and proceed in the 2nd year to “becoming a Disciple-Maker” that is ready to LEAD!
- What is the Schedule for Classess?
Classes for ETS are just one day per week. The schedule is set to run from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm. every Saturday during the term
- Where will the classes be held?
Classes will be held in classrooms at a local “Host Church.” Our first Quarter of classes will be held at “Trumpet Call Ministries International” in Montego Bay.
- Who are the Teachers for the classes?
Montego Bay is greatly blessed with a wealth of Pastors and ministry leaders capable of teaching the courses. Some will be regular teachers that teach a class every quarter. Others will take on a class on a rotating basis. Several courses will be taught by 5-fold ministry leaders from Kingston live via internet from time to time.
- What is the cost for the ETS Ministry Training School?
Our main goal with regard to cost is to make the ETS Discipleship and Leadership Training School affordable to all students. Our oversight team is making every effort to keep costs down by avoiding unnecessary overhead. A Fee Schedule page should be attached to this document.
- Is this Training Program accredited or endorsed by an outside organization?
While ETS has put in place several important Affiliations and spiritual coverings of oversight, it has not been established or endorsed by any particular outside organization for accreditation. It is wholly a Local endeavor formed by a Coalition of local Church leaders. The goals of ETS are SPIRITUAL and KINGDOM MINDED rather than seeking endorsement from man-made institutions. ETS is non-denominational and is open to ALL Christians. It has been established for the sake of the CAUSE of Christ and His call to fulfill the Great Commission.
- What will I be equipped to do once I graduate ETS?
The overall program at ETS focuses on “Intense Discipleship” in the 1st year and on “Becoming Disciple-Makers” in the 2nd year. Each student will be “EUIPPED” to undergo deep, true, transformational, and intense discipleship as their foundational teaching in the 1st year. Then, in the 2nd year of school, students will focus on a full range of tools and skills that “DISCIPLES” can use to walk out a life of “Disciple-Making” in their church, family, and local community.
- Will I learn about The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts?
At ETS, we are committed to modeling and teaching The Whole Bible. And, since The Holy Spirit is written about and is very present throughout the Bible, we will, of course, need to teach about it as an integral part of the Gospel and The Great Commission. According to Jesus, the Holy Spirit was given to us at Pentecost to enable us to be His WITNESSES to the world. It is in that biblical spirit that we will take students through a thorough and biblical round of teachings on the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts.
- Will I learn about Praise and Worship?
Classes will begin every Saturday with Praise and Worship. We begin with Worship as a way to “enter His presence” and stay in His presence throughout the day of classes. Our worship times will also be a time for learning to hear from God. We will frequently be asking the question, “What’s God saying to you today?” … and learning to just “listen.” At times, our worship sessions will also be a time for exercising spiritual gifts, personal ministry, prayers for healing, impartation, and prophetic ministry. Students will have many teachable moments to learn more about “Praise and Worship” during these times.
- Will there be Guest Speakers and Spiritual Impartation?
Creating times for outside speakers and extraordinary impartation will be an important part of ETS. We believe that the “river of God” flows best we don’t allow ourselves to become a stagnant pool. Having a “fresh flow” coming through the school in the way of “Fresh Word” or impartation that is something “extra” is one way we can do this. We will be continually looking for opportunities to bring in new speakers and voices from around the Body of Christ.
- Will there be hands on experience and practical opportunities to learn how to minister to hurting people and the Lost?
One of the main goals of ETS is to ensure that we develop practical, hands-on, experience oriented methods for teaching “Disciple-Making.” Beginning with our first Evangelism course in the 1st year, courses will include hands-on experiences that will not only teach, but provide step-by-step training on the “how-to’s” of ministry!
